Cities never change. They get larger, they get more expensive, they get dirtier, but the people the food and the atmosphere never really disappears. Immigration can add colour and it can also dilute culture, but you just have to accept what it brings as we are all tourists in our own little way.

However, with time, buildings do change, they crumble, they get knocked down, they get replaced. These are the things we must treasure, our links to the past, our only road back to a time when we were different, and the places we can still visit, even if the photos fade.
